On Sunday 1st July at 8.30pm, the girls of York House will begin a 24-hour Tennis Challenge to raise money for Action4Archie.
During daylight hours we will be playing on the tennis courts and when darkness falls we will move inside and keep the balls passing over the net by playing table tennis. At dawn on Monday we will go back outside and continue on the tennis courts until 8.30 in the evening.
We will all be battling through potentially bad song choices and the strong desire to go back to bed all in aid of our fabulous house charity, Action4 Archie. If you feel you could sponsor us and donate to this amazing cause then we would be very grateful.
'Action4Archie' is dedicated to helping people with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. It is named after Archie Hill, cousin to LVI student Trinity Hill, who was diagnosed with Duchenne in 2008 when he was just 3 years old. Since then, Archie and his family have campaigned tirelessly for improvement in the treatment and care of those who suffer from this debilitating and life-limiting condition.
