Why I'm pledging

"Teams of amateur rowers are pitted against each other across 200 miles in journey that is expected to last 3 days... NOMAN raises awareness about the Human Papillomavirus (HPV) related cancer epidemic in men and women, and campaigns for universal HPV vaccination, while challenging participants to extreme endurance races across the world."

"Rich, the glorified Brickie, architect or construction guy from South-West London. Whatever he does he's easily swayed by friends. Convincing Rich to embark on this ocean row was pretty straight forward. It allows him to contribute some chat over pints and really gives him a small degree of street credit. Although he'll have to turn down a few beers as part of this strict training regime; The poor bloke already weighs in at 102kg!"

I will be undertaking this challenge with 4 friends, rowing in shifts of 2hours throughout the day and night. It is expected that it will be as much of a mental challenge as it will be physical, whilst trying to avoid container ships, oil tankers and sun burn.
