Why we're pledging
We are very fortunate to have the opportunity to support 'Walking with the Wounded' for our House Charity Week.

Walking with the Wounded is a charity that supports all veterans with physical, mental or social injury to gain the skills and qualifications necessary to develop new careers outside the military, re-integrate into society and provide long-term security for themselves and their families.

During this House Charity Week, all Saunderites will organise and participate in various fundraising activities. Oscar, one of the Saunderites, will also attempt to finish the Marathon de Sables Challenge:

‘I am going to try and complete six marathons in five days in the Sahara Desert, for the charity my dad co-founded. The charity started because one of my Dad's friends, who was out on tour in Afghanistan stepped on an IED which led to extensive damage across his body. Fortunately, he survived but the charity was set up to help him and others like him who have served our country and therefore deserve our respect and gratitude. I felt that if I am able to at least try and help these great men and women then I should. Therefore, for the past few months I have been training to hopefully become the youngest person to complete the MDS (marathon de sables). I can't express how much I appreciate the help I have already had from many of you and hopefully more in the future!'

All money raised in this campaign will be given to the charity. However, this could not be done without your support, so please show your generosity and donate! Together, we can make a difference to the world!

We really appreciate any support that you can give, thank you.
