We are six Positive People with Parkinson’s (PPwP) and are part of a team of 46 supporters of the Cure Parkinson’s Trust who will cycle from Geneva to Nice – The Alpine Raid – 800km, 19,000m of climbing over 6 gruelling days – Monday 29th June – Saturday 4th July 2020. This test of endurance would be challenging for anyone, never mind someone with PD; a condition which can cause slowness of movement, muscle rigidity and tremors, to name a few.
We are calling on you, particularly the Parkinson’s community, to join us virtually! We want to encourage PPwP to be active, whether this is walking, running, or cycling indoors or outdoors. You can register as an individual or a team and accumulatively ‘match our miles’ in March, April, May and June, as well as the week of 29th June to 4th July. The Parkie’s Raiders will be carrying a GPS tracker so you can ‘dot watch’ and when you enter your miles, you will see where you are in relation to us.
