Why we're pledging
THE CHALLENGE

In December 2018, we will undertake the biggest challenge of all our lives. As four friends we will begin our journey from the small port of San Sebastian in La Gomera (Canary Islands) crossing the Atlantic to English Harbour in Antigua.

Given the scale of the challenge it is little wonder that less than 500 people have rowed the Atlantic, more people have been into space and a tenth of the number of people have made the summit of Everest.

- 2 hours on 2 hours off in excess of 35 days

- Burning over 9000 calories a day

- Up to 50ft waves

OBJECTIVES

To successfully complete the Atlantic Challenge and raise a monumental sum for our charity.

To inspire and subsidise by donating our boat 'LionHeart' (a value of 55k) to a future team of rowers to undertake the challenge. This team will be people for whom without our help such a challenge would remain a pipe-dream, given the huge amount of investment it takes just to reach the start line.

OUR CHARITY

Starlight is a national children's charity that is dedicated to brightening the lives of children and teenagers from a serious of terminal illness.

They do this through extensive hospital entertainment and wish granting programs. These programs are based on positive psychology and offer distraction at a time when young people and families are most vulnerable. Each year Starlite help over half a million children to look beyond their illness and show them the possibilities of life.
