Dear Family and Friends,
This coming Monday I will be competing in a charity challenge where I will be rowing from Barcelona to Ibiza with a team of four others, Team Corona. The row is set to last between three and four days, depending on the currents and weather, with each of us rowing in pairs and taking shifts. As you can imagine, rowing for days under the sun, with seasickness and all kinds of discomfort is as much about physical strength as it is about keeping the team’s spirit high. However, our team is strong and motivated, and our goal is not just to finish the race but to be the fastest team of five to do so since 2015, when the record was set.
I will be doing this challenge with NOMAN, a charity which raises awareness about the Human Papillomavirus (HPV) related epidemic in men and women, and campaigns for universal HPV vaccination. To learn more about NOMAN, HPV and the importance of the vaccination, I invite you to visit the website https://www.nomancampaign.org.
My goal is to raise £10,000 which will go directly towards NOMAN’s efforts to eradicate HPV and thereby prevent 5% of cancers. Any contribution helps and I look forward to sharing this adventure with all of you with an update to come once I’m on the other side! In the meantime feel free to follow my progress once I'm on my way through this GPS tracker link: https://www.nomancampaign.org/bi-gps-tracker
Thank you all for the support and see you in Ibiza!
