By now you should know that Constantine and Dmitry are big rowers. Massive. Huge.
After a celebrated career on the second boat of his high school team, Dmitry retired prematurely from the sport that he loved due to the gruelling demands of the fraternity mixer circuit.
Constantine’s crowning achievement was the British Indoor Rowing Championship. The email he wrote announcing his participation garnered widespread attention shortly before he withdrew.
To celebrate the 15-year anniversary since either one of them competed at sports or most other things that aren't FIFA, they are taking their rowing talents to a course where they claim home court advantage – the Balearic. They have assembled a 5-man crew (yes, they found three other suckers to pull their weight!) to race from Barcelona to Ibiza as part of the NOMAN race on July 21st.
The fastest time that a NOMAN boat has completed the journey is 72 hours. They aim to win the race; but they also aim to break the record.
Not only is this NOT a midlife crisis, but it’s also for a great cause! They are rowing (potentially for the last time) to help prevent 5% of the world’s cancers. The race is known as NOMAN is an Island: Race to End HPV Barcelona-Ibiza 2019 and it is in support of the effort to raise awareness about the HPV-related cancer epidemic and end it through universal HPV vaccination.
They've spent days rewatching Life of Pi and preparing a victory speech, but now they would ask you to take a moment to visit the NOMAN website to learn more about the organisation and the cause they are supporting.
As their nearest and dearest, they kindly ask for your support with a donation. DONATE HERE. Thank you in advance for your generosity and hope to see you at the finish line in Ibiza (DM for details )!
On behalf of,
Constantine & Dmitry
